I just bought a house to fix up and trade. It was a VA home and we discovered that contained by the fuse box someone must have stolen the key breaker that you turn on for electricity. What do we do now???

Answers:    The solely thing you can do is enjoy an electrician come and install a new one. To replace the major breaker involves connecting to the power from outside and the electrical load on that will take out you if you do not know what you are doing. PLEASE, don't try to repair this yourself

John H is correct. If the main breaker be stolen / removed you will need to enjoy a licensed and bonded electrician come and re-install a new one. It shouldn't cost too much. conceivably around $200. The power feeding your house is most feasible from an over head transformer and if you be to "short" that out by accident your neighbors would lose power and more importantly who ever did it would probably die. Please, I emplore you, hire a qualified party to do this.
