We have dimmers throughout our home and solely the master bath is running hot. We enjoy replaced it and it still is hot to the touch. Should I be worried or is this normal? I don't necessitate a fire.
first of adjectives dimmers get hot, that's how they work. butt if you can burn your finger from it consequently its over loaded buy a dimmer that can handle more watts.

Any of those are an "inductive" load and could glibly cause a dimmer to overheat
Answers: You could have too much bulb wattage for the dimmer. All switches including dimmers are rate for a certain number of amps. If you hold say a 1000 watts of bulbs that equals nearly 9 amps of current going through the dimmer. If you still hold the packaging for th dimmer check the amp rating. The addition is volts X amps = watts, or watts/volts = amps.
Other problems could be faulty connections within the switch box or the light fixtures that are increasing the resistance contained by the circuit therefore making the dimmer switch hot also.
