Electrical...exploding lights...? what could it mean if ive turned on a lighting ...

what could it mean if ive turned on a lighting switch and the buld explodes? its happened twice...the first happend and next after the light have been within regular use again for a few months it exploded again. what could this be caused by?

Answers:    You may be getting surges. Cheep bulbs. Bulbs may not be making a well-mannered connection next to the socket. Loose wiring.

rugged to imagine an actual explosion.. resembling it shattered.. glass everywhere? ... in recent times not likely if its lately a regular bulb.. when overloaded or burnt out the filament breaks and explicitly that. if its a different type of bulb being used contained by a socket that it was not intended to be later maybe.
