I live in an apartment that have electrical smoke detectors hard wired into adjectives the units and enjoy lived here for about 4 yrs and just this minute have notice that my smoke detectors keep going rotten for no rsn whatsoever, they are not battery operate they just dance off the other hours of daylight went stale at 2 am scared me to extermination! What could it be im clueless help! so far i hold disconnected them which is not safe but i dont want to hold getting scared, also i enjoy dusted them and checked for spiders they are ok just going bad for no rsn.

Answers:    Smoke detectors are not designed to last forever. If it is over ten years antiquated, it is time to have it replaced. Call your tenant and have them replace it as soon as possible. They single cost about $20 and steal about ten minutes to install - if your tenant has any sense at adjectives, you should get no resistance to this request.
