I have a GFCI/combination switch. Which is a GFCI outlet and an electrical switch surrounded by one unit. I enjoy a total of 4 wires going in the box. 2 live from the service box and 2 going to the insubstantial fixture. I can't get the switch to work. It's any tripping or the light fixture is live adjectives the time. I can't get the restrained to turn on a off.
I want help.
Thanks,
Answers: bring one hot wire to the gfci plug with the sole purpose! black to the brass screw/white to the silver screw/ ground to the green screw.. now you should hold 3 wires left? are you sure 2 wires stir to the lights? well, later try this.. take the other hot cable, black to the bottom of the switch, tie the white wire to (just one wire) to the other white telecommunication.. and then the black lead that goes next to that white wire, tie it to the top of the switch.. you should enjoy 2 black wires to the switch and 2 white wires wiretied together.. if you light doesn't work/you blow the breaker, next undo the lead and repeat with the other telecommunication.. one should work, unless it's wired backwards.. then you'll newly have to amount out which one goes where on earth by process of illemination?
It's probably wired backwards or you have the neutrals crossed
