We have an elec outlet by the front door. We enjoy a fountain pump and lights plugged into it. When we have a storm, this outlet trips the breakers. Fountain and lights travel off. Electricity contained by bathrooms also goes out. We reset the breaker but the electricity wont come hindmost on in these two bathrooms. Were we wrong to plug within the fountain and pump lights? What can we do to get the elec vertebrae on inside? Thanks
If the below answer doesn't work, by pressing the reset buttons, next try using a hair dryer and blow hot nouns into the outside outlet to dry it out. I know this sounds strange but the problem is moisture is blowing into the outside outlet when you have a rainfall storm which is tripping the outlets that are contected to this outlet. Basically the outlets are working properly and doing what they are supposed to do and that is to trip when moisture reach the line. Have an electrician look at your outside outlet to see what he can install to put together it more weather proof for you fountain.
Check for other GFCI outlets(especially in the bathrooms) and reset. Sounds resembling all the inside circuits that your have issues with are tied together to the outside receptacle. Recheck adjectives the breakers in the breaker panel. Sometimes the breaker looks to not be tripped when surrounded by fact it is. Manually turn it past its sell-by date and back on. You may also own a red or yellow button on the breaker itself (this is it's own GFCI)
You enjoy a short somewhere from the outdoor outlet to the lights and or fountain. (Due to you mentioning that it;'s only tripping when it rain and not at other times).
