While vacuming this morning the power went out contained by 3 rooms, thinking that i just have to reset the breaker was not the answer. I have two other things (Lamps ) plugged into the extension cord. I tried to reset the bresker but no luck , still no power . I turned off the principal switch , then tried to reset the breaker, still no luck, any suggestions?
It sounds like a impossible breaker. Call an Electrican.
From reading your question you hold breakers and not fuses.
If electric is out within a few and not all could be a fuse. I live contained by and older cubicle where we still enjoy fuse boxes. That same thing happen to me when I use the microwave, iron and blow dryer all at indistinguishable time. Electric blows in 2 rooms and not the rest.
If you hold fuses, use a flashlight to look at the fuses. They have little "windows' contained by them. The fuse will look burnt similar to the tungsten in a lantern bulb.
FYI - Even if you have fuses you can also own breakers.
