I own a Fisher & Paykel dryer, purchased in 2005. Almost on the year, a year later, the dryer stopped heat. The Australian/New Zealand based company worked beside our warranty and sent A&E out, who sent technicians that had no clue what they be doing. "This is my first Fisher Paykel appliance, ma'am." Eventually after weeks of hassle, it was fixed.
Fast forward to smaller quantity than a year later, & this time the gadget wouldn't tumble or heat. Went through matching formalities with the company, but it took 2 MONTHS to grasp it all fixed. Parts have to come from Australia. We were at the laundromat for 2 months doing laundry for the 5 of us at home.
It is immediately less than 6 months following and it has again broken. The ultimate two repairs valued at MORE than the cost of a new dryer. F&P offered an extension of a warranty for another year which we took, but I'm in a minute waiting for parts to come from Australia and weeks of the laundromat. Again.
At what point do I have rights to constraint more?
Answers: And this is the reason that I don't fix "sour shore" appliances. People often ask me roughly "off shore" (both Asia and Europe) and I update then like thing. Who's get the parts and how many companies fix them?
I contemplate you can demand adjectives you want...they may listen or they may not. Their argument will be that it has be usable in between the "down" times. An extension on a warranty doesn't nouns like they are out by too much
I academic the hard instrument about the Fisher and Paykel. I bought one of the washers.It quit after a week and a repairman come out that did not own a clue as to what was wrong. He said he be ordering a fragment and would be back when the division came surrounded by. I had already looked at the control circuit board and it be sitting in marine and was corroded. He be ordering a sensor. I took it vertebrae to Lowe's and was offered a latest one and I made the mistake of getting the F&P again. Two years and 3 months later it quit. I have also bought a Bosch dishwasher a few months after I bought the F&P washer. It was still beneath parts warranty but the labor was going to cost as much as a whirllpool dish washer. I replaced both of them near American brands and will never buy a foriegn appliance again. I can buy parts locally for my appliances now and can fix them matching or next year. Most service companies are not equiped to service the foreign equipment or carry parts for them. What make me mad is the appliances I have before buying the Fisher and Paykel and Bosch worked beside out problems for over 10 years before breaking down and they cost smaller quantity than half of what the foriegn unwanted items did.
