Driveway repair? I have a driveway, 350 feet up, and when it rain it...

I have a driveway, 350 feet up, and when it rain it washes it out. its gravel and dirt. I might be able to fix the holes but the dirt is the problem. any philosophy. It will cost about $11,000 to have someone do it.
Mix Portland cement beside the sand.

Noah, this one casing a picture would be worth a thousand words.I can only assume (hate that word) that the drive is 350 ft long by about 10 ft broad and slopes uphill.Since you didn't mention snow being a problem I again can only assume a space heater climate. The next problem is a rural area or upscale neighborhood.

As you are aware hose runs down hill so your options are to direct it the approach you wish.I have done driveways next to similar concerns in asphalt/concrete.I always put a crown within them to push the water off to the sides.Doing this keep the water off the drive but creates another problem as you necessitate to control it though the use of landscaping techniques.

If your contained by a rural area I would really be taking a look at recycled asphalt. Many of us here in Colorado use this as an inexpensive alternative.Keep surrounded by mind every action has a hostile response,so you may solve one problem and create another. This is where good planning and thought plays within.

I hope I have helped within at least a small way
