Does anyone know how to unclog and prime a Flotec Jet Pump? Hi, My name is James and I am have a problem....
Hi, My name is James and I am have a problem. I have a flotect squirt pump thats almost 10 years old. I live subsequent to a crick, so I figured instead of basically using my well, in recent times hook the pump up to the crick to water my prairie. However, after I hooked everything up, filled the sea to the top, and tried to fill the hose I still cannot give the impression of being to get the pump to prime. I do know that when I occupied the pump up that it looked like at hand was stuff within it, being that the pump hasn't be used in in the order of two years. Any help would be greatly appreciated asap. Thanks!
Answers: powerfully, you could try sealing rotten the very extremity of the line, where on earth it sucks up the water, and taking the lines stale of the pump. then, a short time ago fill both pipes up beside water and teem the pump. Hook it back up, turn it on, and run down and find the intake. if it is clogged. try taking the end stale of the bottom of the line and the top of the stripe and flush it with water(to be paid sure the line is not clogged) and nick the end apart and verbs it out. make sure any check valve are clear and make sure you can attain water to shift though the pump. put it all fund together and check it out. I don't think that shot pumps are self priming, so you may want to try hooking your well wet up to it and run it in to try to return with the pump properly primed. as long as it is hooked up properly and nothing is leak, you should never have to prime it again.
Flotec pump is in recent times a sump pump principal. U should not have to prime it because when u put the Flotec surrounded by the water, it prime itself. Trace the hose to find any restrictions and on the substructure of the Flotec...there is a few screw u can take the peak out to clean out any refuse inside where the fins are. That's adjectives. It's a very simple system and it works! Unless u get the BIG unit and that article is very expensive to run. U own to call Flotec to take the Owners manual for the operation.
