You see, it's a dilema I have. My mother states and she believes to be correct more or less this. That a phone will get potencially tattered if you disconnect it and connect it to another circuit. See. I know about electronics and I find that extremely silly. Because disconnecting a device doesn't seem to really affect it much. Maybe after a long use of it. But not brand contemporary items... So I'd like a proffesional answer to allow my mother to be professionally informed that she is incorrect..
Maybe LONG TERM, but not short permanent status changing of places might basis such damage she claims.

Answers: The only article you might damage would be the plastic tab that holds the train into the jack. After a while it might get feeble from repeated use. The phone will be fine.

The amount of time the device is plugged within has nil to do with it. It's the achievement of plugging and unplugging and walking over carpets next to the electronic instrument. While it is very pink, you can build up enough static electricity within your body while walking with the phone that it get damaged when you plug it within. Again though, it's very sporadic. Rare rare intermittent.
