Do you enjoy to insulate pex pipe within exterior walls?

I prefer to see the wall insulated and the pipe run on the heated side of the wall. the insulation will help hold on to the could out and the residual heat from the building interior will abet keep it from freezing. If you insulate a pipe it can still freeze, it wants some way to facilitate keep it heat.

I am a Master plumber surrounded by Indiana for 42 years. although the pex will freeze it will not burst believe me i filled up a 12 contained by. piece plugged both ends put it in my freezer fo 2 days zilch. the problem is the fixture that it serves will not work.
