Answers: I just received one as a bequest from good ol' mom. The part is beautiful (comes contained by oak and cherry) and is quiet, works capably to quickly generate grill and is rather pretty surrounded by the way the fabricate flames flicker on the unit. The remote control allows control of backlighting, and the speed of the aficionado (Low or High)
I cannot say it heat the house, but for a single room (which is all it is advertise to do), this would work fine.
