I'm constructing a 2 story masonry house in Tampa, Florida. The contractor simply put an "AA2 Vapor shield" on the interior walls. I got a quote for blown within insulation in the concrete walls for $1500. The contractor say it's not necessary because near the concrete walls and the stucco exterior the R-Value will be around 19 and good for Florida. Is it okay to hold no insulation in concrete walls? Is the $1500 a accurate investment or not worth it?
Answers:    $1500? You'll pay for that surrounded by AC savings. If at hand is a means to insulate the walls, do it. More is DEFINITELY better. Good luck.
i ruminate the wall will sweat ,if you don't insulate, heat and moisture, from cooking ,humidifiers, breathing, etc, will condense ,on the cooler wall.i would insulate.tom
