I live in a 50 year outmoded house. I had a contractor reshingle the roof 8 years ago. What do I do? Because the shingles are obvioulsly well-mannered?

Answers:    Get on your roof (If you are comfortable with this) look surrounded by the areas where the leak are look for nail pops where on earth the nail worked out and put a hole within your roof. if you find any of these the easiest way to fix is pound down the staple get some biddable tar near fiber and carefully saturate the hole with tarmacadam then look surrounded by your gutter for some of the "stones" from your shingles and put these on the tar to game the color. If you don't find nail pops look for fruitless shingles or bad flashing. if you find a bleak shingle you can replace it just product sure it is a warm daytime before you start so you don't crack the top shingle as you remove the unpromising one.

Get up on the roof and check for exposed nail. The heat pushes out the nail over time .Nail them back down and wipe them over with roofing cement.
