my family and i found out contained by november that we have be giving a council house. so we packed as they sed we would be arranged to move in earlier xmas anyway its been delayed and we are still not within our house... because..
there is no gas supply to the house and within order to do this the road must be dug up. its be nearly four months and we are still living out of boxes and the council cant give us a date of when the work is individual done.
how long should this take to do as i know the road and gas have to be done by different people?

iam always ringing and asking for a date for moiving but they keep hold of saying it wont be long!!!!

Answers: My mum recently have a similar problem with her cell phone line, although she wasn't within quite as unpleasant a situation as yourselves, she have to wait around 3-4 months because the highway agency wanted closely of money (thousands) to allow the work to go ahead and other problems near digging up roads is the paperwork and politics.
The council are bound by regulations for your welfare etc in your topical house but are probably banging their head against a brick wall with trying to take this work done.
I've dealt next to highways and a variety of services suppliers in the recent past and it can seem impossible to co-ordinate them at times.
Hang contained by there, at smallest your gas supply and central heat will be bang up to date when you do eventually move contained by.
get contained by touch with your local mp. he/she should know how to get some answers from the council. it might even get hold of them moving.
