I'd like to purchase a dehumidifier for my townhouse. My furnace is on the 2nd floor (upstairs from the mainfloor). What should I get? How does it procure installed-does it attach to the furnace?
I enjoy to assume you don't have AC. An AC does the same living as a dehumidifier as it cools the air. The cost would be very big, I would look into another dehumidifier. Recommended humidy in a home is 40%. They do make one that go on your furnace but it is expensive.I would call a hvac company to get prices on the element and install.
If you install middle air your problem will be solved. You've noticed the marine running out of a window air conditioner? That is dehumidifying your house. I suppose you can bring back just a central dehumidifier but I'd do the centralized air. They both have a coil to lower the temp. of the heavens which lets water condense on the coils and the wet goes down a drain. Get central nouns and your problem will be solved. Humidifiers can be part of a furnace, dehumidifiers are either free standing or member of your A/C unit. There is most likely more humidity on the ground floor, however to do a apposite job, you will need two.
Answers: You can buy dehumidifiers that just plug into your wall socket.
These units are portable.
