If I drove through deep rainfall flooding, what damage does it do to exhaust?
Answers: You didnt mention the year of your VW, but if it subsequently than a 96, the catalytic converter also has a temp sensor on it. Driving through insightful water will cool down the outside of the converter, which will "fool" the sensor into recounting you it is failing. If the light go out after 30 minutes or so, it has reset itself once it reach temp again. Nothing to worry something like. I hope this helps you.
