Hey i have an aquastar de filter . I checked the grids and textile no tears or cracks. I further checked the air tube and lower plate no cracks found . Applied strange silicone to return port cover. I the let silicone cure for 48 hours and later filled lower filter partly with river and dye no leakage at trademark . However De is blowing into the pool and is not sticking to the grid at all it coagulates at the bottom of the filter resting on the lower gride plate in clumps. Its as if the grids are not holding any mud and simply allowing it to pass through . Does anyone hold any thoughts on this or about brook filters.
Answers: sounds approaching an o-ring in the backwash spout or the grids are not seated into the manifold completely
