the deck belt has cuts contained by it at the same intervals??...i replacecd it end summer and the new belt broke again...any design as to why the belt keeps breaking ...and what is cause the gauges?
Get the right belt, construct sure it's made to flex in both directions.
check the bearing in the blade pulleys, sort sure they are in obedient shape. every winter you should take them apart-clean them-replace seals-grease zerts-and grease. most relations do not realize what those bearings dance thru on a daily basis let alone a twelve-monthly base. Sharpening the blades on a by-weekly underside helps the over-all dramatization of the tractor as well, it lessen the force needed in adjectives the grass thus making all power-driven pieces not work as hard.
My father in-law have a Green lee riding mower and he always screw up when he changes his belts, Then I gain the call to cart a look. Funny that it's never the same entity. Now here's what I've found. (1 and 2 are very adjectives errors)
1. Forget to the re-install the spring that pulls on the tensioner or clips it to the incorrect location.
2. Routes the belt incorrectly or has the belt twisted or the belt is turned the wrong instrument (flat side vs V side). If you look at where the belts ride on the pulleys, some are flat and others are "V" shaped. The wager on side of belt should be on the flat and the inside of the belt should be on the V.
3. Guards are replaced incorrectly or lose.
4. Damaged Pulley, either bent or not rotating properly
With the motor rotten you should be able to engross the belt, when engaged the belt should be slightly tight and lone touching the pulleys, ensure the correct side of the belt is contacting the pulley.
Hope this helps
Answers: Sticks can mess your belt up greatly fast. The mowers own no protection from things like a stick from messing up the belt. Even stocky piles of leaves can jump up onto the mower deck and lend a hand eat away the belt.
