It just stopped adjectives of a sudden when I was mowing the sward. Took off the cover piece over the belt and when I restarted it, it wouldn't move. Model num. 917.37360 Please, I'm not a mechanic so simple terms?
Oh yeah, it's self propelled and the front wheel won't move.
Answers: Belt could be off pulley, or the push button (small piece of metal bar that holds pulley to shaft) any broke, or came out. Remove the drive pulley from the mower bottom and check that there's a knob fitted in the slots of both the shaft and pulley.
If the switch is broken or missing, you can get another from Sears by giving the model #. Easy to install. There's a right-side-up, and you know when the pulley slides on glibly when you have the push button in the shaft slot, and furrowed up with the pulley slot.
that problem could be a belt come off or broke, a doomed to failure or jambed pully or something jambed or wrapped around the blades, a bearing could of froze.
