I've just recently replaced the fuel dash because it was leaking, and I havent used the trimmer since finishing season.
yesterday I installed the line and tried to start it up. nothing. So I took the carb apart and cleaned it. The trimmer started and worked fine. Today I tried to start it again and it wouldn't. I took the carb apart again and cleaned it again but immediately the trimmer won't start no matter what I do. I'm using the right fuel and everything and the spark plug is still good. Any planning?
Answers: Check the cylinder compression. It must have at least 90 psi to run. Craftsman trimmers are seedy for low compression.
You may have a small crack in the primer pump allowing nouns into the fuel line and you might have dropped a piece from the carb have it rebuilt so much for no reason The carburetor requests to be rebuilt. Those thin flat pieces that you saw contained by there are diaphrams. They get antiquated and tired. Get a rebuild kit, install it and it will run resembling new.
