I bought a 54 gallon corner tank and the plastic of the outside corner is cracked. The chalice is fine, just the outside. Should I attempt to compress it with hose? I just don't want to steep it and later on it ends up flooding my living room. Can it be fixed or is this problem irrelevant?
Answers:    This sounds completely fixable. However, clutch it outside, and do a partial fill as a trial to make sure the sealant between the cup panes be not damaged. If at hand is a leak, you can purchase a fish past the worst silicone sealant. Run a bead of the sealant along the joints outward from the point of the seep. Wait 72 hours for sealant to dry before innards with marine. See link below.

Be mindful that over time aquariums can become leaky. When you move an aquarium for cleaning you may stress the seam. Eventually a leak may develop. I have a 70 gallon tank that sprung a leach after 20 some odd years. It be just a drip, but I be very glad my floor be ceramic tile and not runner.
the glass is glue at the corners, the plastic adds strength. set it up and use a plastic repair approaching J.B. weld. Then fill it next to water.
