I have a newer home and adjectives my neibors have this same problem.

Answers:    I never hear of this type of problem before. One remedy might be to whip off the counter tops and apply some juice mails on the wager on of the counter top next to the wall. You could also caulk the seam and they hold a flexible stick vinyl tape similar to molding that you could put over the seam
