December 3rd the granite counter and backsplash went on. Today, I look underneath the sink and above the soap dispenser, I see 6 x 3 inches of wet spot on the bottom of the 3/4 granite counter. Could this be percolate from the soap dispenser? Or could it be the improper seal from the granite counter to the sink or just bleeding through the granite? The fabricator used Liquid nail, heavy duty construction glue to glue the 3/4 inch plywood to the granite counter.
If it is bleeding, does it be determined I will eventually have stain resting on the granite? Will the wetness dry off?
Answers: Call your installer right away. Granite is massively vulnerable to cracking if installed incorrectly and constant wet could result surrounded by cracking if a hot object is place on the adjectives area. Get this fixed asap--been here cracked it!
Sounds like it conceivably were the counter top meet the back splash. Didn't attain a good trademark. No. I don't think it will come up through the bottom and stain the top. You might try getting some caulking to be precise the same color as the counter, and caulking around it. Or remove the soap dispenser.
