Cost of installing electric? My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a mobile...
My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a mobile home and putting it on a piece of house that was giving to me by my Dad. Does anyone own an idea of how much it will cost to procure the electric hooked up? The main powerlines are in actuality located on our property so therefore, it wont be immensely far to have to run a stripe and we also already have a pole (that be leftover from one of my Dads projects)...?
phone call the utility company and give them your address, they will furnish you the cost of installing the service feeder and the pole. You will have to go and get bids from electrical contractors for installing the service equipment and the feeders to the mobile home.
The price will alter depending on where you are.
When you articulate the main powerlines, do you be going to the high voltage nouns line, or a 'feeder' rank.
If the former, they may have to run MILES to a proper touch point; but if the latter, they may be able to simply install a transformer.
(Have like peas in a pod problem. Main 'TRANSMISSION' lines on property line. Based on cost estimate from the power company, I own been using on site generator for the last 8 years, replacing 1 every 2 years, (I enjoy 2), and buying gas and I am STILL ahead by about $20,000 dollars!!!)
