Converting meadow mower to propane? Like untold numbers of people, I enjoy a lawn mower...
Like untold numbers of people, I enjoy a lawn mower and abhor the "eeeoooccchhh!!" price of gas. Is it possible to convert a lawn mower to propane? I live in the vicinity an RV supply yard, the propane tank and refills are graceful to come by. And FAR less expensive!
Answers: it will work- i enjoy run briggs&stratton motors off of propane- you can use a 5lb cylinder and fill up on it from a 20lb cylinder- pipe it into the fuel inlet thru a demand regulator- youll enjoy to turn the mixture screw almost all the approach out, as propane is less dense(leaner) than gasoline.
ARE YOU COMPLETELY NUTS! Gas isn't expensive, your money isn't worth what it be.The dollar is getting weaker by the minute.Propane is also getting more expensive.I worked for a farmer 25 years ago. All his tractors run on propane. He used these tractors so he wouldn't have to foot road taxes on the fuel he used.Propane is much colder and needs to be warm through a heat exchanger to properly be used within an internal combustion engine.I don't know if it can be done with an nouns cooled lawn mower engine.Don't do it if you don't know what you are doing.
