My Tempstar DC90 is having issues. The draft inducer runs (but sometimes up to 10-15 minutes), the pilot burner lights, the prime burner fires and the furnace will heat, but stops short of the thermostat setpoint. If the draft inducer runs too long, likelihood are there is too much condensate surrounded by the tube. Condensate seems to rear legs up in the tube efficiently. Once the water is removed, the furnace fires near no problem, but continues to shut off since the thermostat setpoint is reached. The drain hose is completely long-roughly ten to twelve feet from the running out of the draft inducer to the end of the plastic hose. Will shortening this hose 1. see the proper negative pressure to be created more like greased lightning and/or 2. enable the furnace to run long plenty to produce enough warmth to reach the setpoint on the thermostat? Thanks surrounded by advance for any assistance.
Answers:    First bad, most of the time the length of the drain is not the problem. However, proper drainage can be the problem. Make sure the drain have no apparent blockage or that it is kinked surrounded by any way. Should it not be draining, it can motive some problems. Your problem sounds more like a thermostat problem. If you own an old mercury bulb type thermostat, and you boil with gas or fuel grease, then the boil anticipator on the thermostat could be set wrong. On the old tstats similar to that there is a totally small ring with an arrow that points to different numbers around the ring. Yours should probably be set to .4 or close to that. If you own a digital tstat then consult the users guide or installers guide that come with your thermostat to set the proper setpoint extent. But I would recommend an AC contractor come out and check this problem. Hope this helps.
the setpoint not individual reached, may be a thermostat isuue. the angle drop of the hose will engineer a big difference, the hose should not be any longer than it justhas to be. make sure the drop housing and the tube are verbs inside. little spiders love to help plug these up, mine is an actual garden i connected up. periodicaly i bring it off, hook it to an outside spicket and permit it clean the hose for me.
