Hi

I've just have some waterproofing work done on the back of my
house.
Part of this involved replacing a length of drain pipe from my outside wall (connected to the weeping tile now) to the key drain near the middle of my vault floor.

After digging up my concrete floor and installing the new drain pipe, they covered it spinal column over with fresh concrete.
This be on Thursday, I believe, when they poured the concrete.
It's now Saturday, and the concrete, although rather hard, have beads of sea on its surface. The old surrounding concrete appears to be a short time bit damp as okay.

Is this a normal all your own of the way that concrete drys?

I enjoy a fairly powerful de-humidifier running practical the new concrete 24/7 right presently.
I do not believe that this is condensation.
One of the reasons I have this waterproofing work done was so that my floor within this area would not be mushy, so this concerns me.

Any info appreciated
uncle bob is right but don't use anything to force dry the concrete
let it bear care of itself other erudite you will end up beside a cracked
floor. all of the sea should be gone depending on the amount poured and the thickness within a week or two. I have a contracting business and we do concrete and plaster and the resembling. I have be called put money on for this reason the customer did duplicate thing you did and I have to come back out to fix it. I put the bill hindmost to the customer because i told him not to do any thing

You've got obedient answers. just a bit more info.:
Concrete 'cures' by incorporating marine from the
mix into crystals. As these crystals grow, the concrete
gets stronger and some excess hose down may be forced out.
Some water should be allowed to remain so the
process can fully be in motion to completion.
The complete process takes nearly a week.
Answers:    First, concrete does not DRY. It is a chemical reaction call CURRING. The water used to mix the concrete will evaporate with ease. Do not use a De-Humidifier for this, as it will pull the moisture out too soon. A Box fan would be more appropriate. Some of the moisture you are seeing is condensation from the heavens. This should all clear up surrounded by a week or so.
