had this 4 ton unit and boil pump and handler recently installed when the heat or nouns is on it makes a noise surrounded by the living room like a dying ceiling fan near loud drone noise up and down noise so irratating hold to make tv louder tech says nil wrong i have 2 units side by side and individual the new one makes this thud any ideas
Answers: Two units and One is a 4 ton. you must hold a huge house! Distinguish where the sound is coming from. Turn your ac rotten and turn just yourfan on and see if you still hear it. If you do, I would bet your blower motor is on to high of speed or your duct work is not sized properly. If its individual while the AC is running. It still could be blower and incorectly size duct work but also something in the refigeration system I ran into a similar situation once and found The evap not sized correctly or the installing tech didn;t Install piston (orface) surrounded by the refrigeration line just formerly the evap. It could also be the linesets (copper pipes connecting the evap with the codenser) not sized correctly
many times it can be that the return vent have a short run to it and ur hearing the mortor of the unit. i have to have one house extend the return duct work as to make it fairly...
