what water pipes be approved for 97? and where can i find it in print? were copper pipes alowed to be used. location is elizabethtown,ky.

Answers: Yes copper still IS widely used on homes if the homebuilder requirements to pay the extra money for it....In my feelings it is far superior to pvc and cpcv and polybutylene pipes......it can be used on water and drain and it should be a absolute thickness but NOT required by code....I would suggest at smallest a type L copper but some people use type m which is thinner and some own used type K that is thicker but copper be and still is approved by code....hope this helps u
