I live in a rented home. Tonight I be sitting at the computer when I heard the single toilet in the home gross a sound. I flushed it and discovered it be clogged, so I used the plunger. While using the plunger, the sink in the bathroom started to cause a gurgling sound and I smelled a foul smell. What could be going on? What can I do to correct this? Should I ring my landlord, hire a plumber? Also, is it okay to still use the toilet and sink? Thanks!
Answers:    your drains and drain vent are tied together. depending on where the stoppage be when you plunged you could hear air moving pay for through the drain line to the sink that be the gurgling sound. that nouns moving back through the sink is where on earth the odor came from. markedly contact your landlord as you could own a problem with the vent stack or drain lines or both. sewer gas contained by the home is hazardous as well as smelling bleak. the landlord must grasp it fixed immediately it is considered unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
