I have an unseal coal fire and now beside the weather getting cold I need to put it on, i call to get coal deliver and it is now over lb11per pod and i need at tiniest 5 bags per week also higher than this i still have to rate for my electricity which is roughly lb15per week which i think is too much money comming out my budget up to that time i even get food and compensate other bills.

So what can i sugest to the council for them to change my heat to Gas Heating, and also the coal fire heating is to messy and cart ages to put it on, my husband and my son does not like it, because my son have got Astama which i devise coal fire is bad for his robustness but i do not know what to do?
if i go to my docter would he help out me to put Gas Central Heating,

i am so worrying about this please support me.
Any open fire is especially inefficient. If you do use coal for heating it should be within a stove type container with as much flue pipe length as possible and fins or other devices to increase surface nouns and heat verbs to the air. Heat ratiating form the stove is Infre-red and will also heat up things by rediation.
In a fireplace, most of the heat go up the chimney. Heating is accomplished by IR radiation and the briscks or stonework of the fireplace heat the air by convection. Very inefficient.
Steam, Hot wet through tubes inbedded in the floor is really nice and hot nouns heating is roughly the low end of the rank. It can also be dirty.

For the benefit of the Son - Steam or hot water is the best. the floor heat is accomplished by imbedding plastic tubes surrounded by the floor under a laywer of cement. You can put covering over that - lenolium or similar. It is a nice even grill without heat and cold spots in the room and somewhat even between floor and ceiling. It is used extensively in Korea where on earth winters are pretty cold. It is also fairly inexpensive if the house is insulated. In any grip, insulation if important for well-run heating and low heat cost.
Maybe you could contact the warm front venture check to see if you qualify at http://www.warmfront.co.uk/

If not, then try your doctor. It's other worth a try. and ask your council if they have any scheme or grants you could thump into.

I know that open fires repeatedly make asthma worse, but I don't believe there is any research that supports it. In reality the opposite, ultimate time I looked.
Answers:    Definitely stick to the health reason when requesting the change, since it is hazardous to your son's robustness.
If you own your own house/apartment, you should be able to switch to a cheaper form of vigour. The important entry is to make sure you enjoy all drafts plugged up. Check doors and window for cracks that might be letting in cold nouns. You can also add plastic to the outside of your window for extra insulation. Also if you have an attic, check the insulation up here. You can wear sweaters to reduce the call for for more heat. virtuous luck!
