my central a/c keep tripping circuit, but only on really hot days. when the component is on at night I own no problems with it. the a/c is pretty ancient, 80's unit. Is it an electrical problem or an a/c problem. what can I do?
Answers:    It's the compressor, it's running to hot. It's process to old to fix. And if you buy a fresh one Edison will give you a rebate subsidise. You won't believe how much money you will save by have a new one. It'll cost a third of what the behind the times one cost to run.
I am betting one a bad breaker, during the time AC runs more and pulls a heavy nouns causing the circuit breaker to overheat and trip. Most breakers are not that expensive and are flowing to replace. Write down the company name and any numbers on the breaker. Take it to Lowe's or Home Depot and ask someone in that if it's a do-it-yourself job. Before attempting anything be sure to shut stale your home's main breaker. If you don't discern comfortable with this you should call for an electrician.
