Ceiling fans--when to set blades clockwise vs counter clockwise? whats the rule,as far as using it the most efficiently?

whats the rule,as far as using it the most efficiently?
warmth rises, a/c falls, so in the summer, enjoy them pulling up, in the winter enjoy them blowing down,

personally I give attention to it's where your bake and air come from,
hot nouns rises ...

but I never use my fans within the winter, maybe you'd enjoy the air blow up so as to move the hot nouns around ...

during the summer I have them blowing nouns down (my a/c vents are contained by the ceilings) so I'm trying to move the cool air down.
Answers:    Most of the above answers hold it ***-backwards. You want to have the fan pulling up in the winter. The hot nouns is already at the top . This will cause the hot nouns to be pushed out to the walls and then directed down into the room. Running them pushing the heavens down in the summer "really" pulls the electric fire air down. But because it is "blowing" on you, it feel cool.
