I have notice that there is a such a entity as a weatherproof ceiling fan.My query is if I want to mount this ceiling fan on a porch near exposed rafters (no drywall), would it still be weatherproof if I where on earth to mount the fan on an exposed weatherproof box.Mounting this WP box like way you would mount a "enthusiast box" in a house?

Is here a kit to do this?
I think it would be lately fine. My understanding of these types of fan is that they are designed to stand up to the uncontrolled temperature and humidity variation that an indoor fan doesn't encounter. The blades are usually plastic instead of pressboard and the guts are protected from corrosion. As long as the lover and connections are covered and out of direct contact from water, you should be fine.

sure in that is.

Answers:    Funny you should ask this.... purely installed one two weeks ago. The weatherproof (wet location) ceiling fan is righteous for all environments and can be mounted in need a ceiling or cover above it. The problem is that there is not a factory owner that makes a weatherproof box to be exact rated for the cargo of the ceiling fan. (NEC requires a box to be down for the purpose of holding a ceiling fan) I had to mount the ceiling hanger-on separately and use a compression fitting on top of the devotee rod (which is 3/4" Rigid conduit) and attach a condulet (small box) to this. I checked with 4 supply houses within Dallas and also called the admirer manufacturer and none have heard of a box that be weatherproof and had the NEC required information bank of being fit of holding a ceiling fan. Since you are an individual you can probably grasp around this and not have a problem. I'm a contractor and own to go exactly by code. Hope this help.... and good luck
