Ceiling cracks - they are recent... why? I have a 50 year antediluvian home single family home. I enjoy...

I have a 50 year antediluvian home single family home. I enjoy lived here 2 years. I am noticing cracks contained by my hallways and rooms. I haven't painted since I moved within 2 years ago.

The cracks are long and fairly straight.

Should I be concerned? I did enjoy to treat for termites after I moved in, is at hand any connection or indication of ongoing termites?
Answers:    No that is to say very ordinary. It's just settling cracks. And Yes! Houses still settle after 50 years. A millimeter of article and spackle can't resist the Earths shifting, spinning, pulling etc. It's straight because it's following a tape column. You need to rescrew the sheet rock, retape and respackle. But since you plan on spackling I would hold your house checked again for mites. I'm a pro and I still have one and the same seams that split every in a minute and then(expanding-contrasting)
your house could be doing some settling. Or you could have some foundation problems. Is this scheduled in the floors and are the doors knotty to close?
