Is it a good thought to have your cavity wall packed to provide better insultation? I would have thought the stash in heat bills would be neglible. What do you think?

Depends on your location but it would collect you on your heating and ac bills.

I live contained by the N.W and stipulation...
Define your cavity wall. If it is +4" you should probably insul. If it is Brick against CMU const, that cavity insulates. Plus you'll own furring & insul to finish your cmu wall.

Answers:    The parliament would advise you to own this done for energy good the environment. I am a bricklayer and strongly believe that an open nouns flowing cavity is far better although heat is lost it is minimum. I enjoy witnessed investigations in cavity infilling and within are so many voids created where on earth sub contractors have rushed the procedure and the reality that a complete inspection into it`s efficiency cannot be sought due to visibility I deem it`s a waste of time. But hey i`m lone a bricklayer not an architect or engineer LOL
