Can you use a propane regulator on an argon container?
Answers: The highest pressure that a propane regulator would ever be exposed to would be 250-275 PSI.The pressure surrounded by an Argon tank when packed will be 1200-1500 PSI.So the answer is no the Propane regulator is not designed to work at that high of a pressure.
An natural way to check yourself on different gasses is by fittings. For instance oxygen and acetylene hold different and fittings and reverse threading.
Please if you are not trained with gas, do not attempt to use it. And never adapt fittings to label them fit!
