HELP! We cleaned out our fish tank and some rocks fell inside the waste disposal. I thought I got them adjectives out but when I turned the dispoal on it jammed it. I tried turning the rotor with the broom and zilch. I looked inside with my flashlight and I can see 3 small rocks jammed within the corners, not on the two blades. So I attempted to remove the disposal and I unhooked it from underneath the sink but now its newly loose and won't come out for some reason. I tried turning it in the past unscrewing the 3 bolts at the very top but it be tight and just kept turning short actually coming stale. What should I do?
Answers: The 3 bolts hold the strainer to the sink, A GD is usually held onto the strainer by the lower mounting ring just below it.
If you've loosened the stainer, snug it final up & hope that it doesn't leak. If it does, you'll own to remove it & re-seal with plumbers putty (or silicon).
If you can procure the disposal off, you can probably acquire the stones out by tapping it (gently) upside-down & turning the allen bolt. The shop-vac mentioned nearer was also a devout idea.
try to reinstall component and then use a 1/4 inch allen wrench surrounded by the bottom of dispoal and rotate back and forth to loosen up rocks and consequently use a shop vac to clean out
