Her bathroom is in fearful disrepair. The floor is rotten, the whole tub/shower fixture wants replacing, there is mold everywhere. I looked up California Renter's Right's but I am unsure. Can someone assistance?
Answers:    I just looked up California Renter's Rights. It's pretty comprehensive. First, have she pointed out these problems to the landlord and asked him to do something something like them? He can't fix it if he doesn't know. Has he refused to fix, or dragged his heels over it short an acceptable object such as he can't get anyone to come surrounded by right away? If so, he should be telling her when someone will come to fix. If the tenant doesn't do anything, next step would be to find a local building inspector in to assess how fruitless it is, and if it's a health jeopardy. If it's bad, she should inform the landord that he must attend to it or she will do so and subtract from the rent. Keep reading the renter's rights thing, I chew over it's got adjectives you need to know surrounded by it.
The rotted wood the tub and shower are the landlord responsibility but she have the responsibility for the mold as that did not appear over night use bleach and sea do not use ammonia with bleach as specifically a deadly combination. As far as holding the rent she can't do that but what she can do is dance on a renters strike it goes through the courts and the rent is put within a escrow account that can solitary be accessed by the tenant after the repairs are made
