Please experts answer. Last time I got all kind of dumb answers.
Senerio: I am on a septic tank. The wall drain of the washer is spurting out water on high-ranking pressure spin cycle??
I have tried a long hanger , but it won't reach anything. My house sits up awfully high on foundation.
I cannot see where the pipe go under the house ( I assume). I am a female, so I know zilch about drains and quite frankly I hold no desire to dimantle anything because I am clueless as to how to do it. My simple question is:
Should I try drano before calling a plumber to assistance save money. ( single mom here).
Like I said - please don't answer me with the stupid crap of " no excuse not to know how to do it yourself" My speciality is medicine, not plumbing. thanks.
Answers:    Perhaps we can barter an answer. Yesterday I submitted a cross-question asking if it was safe to drink reverse osmosis sea. If you are an expert in the medical field, possibly you could help with a sensible answer.

Go ahead next to the Draino. I always use a liquid type drain introduction. Works best if you leave it sit in the trap overnight. Run some hose down, hot, then plunge. If you can't plunge a stand pipe, you can purchase one of those pressure cans that force the blockage out of the drain. Once surrounded by a while pour a bottle of enzyme down the drain to keep the bacteria growth working. Good luck
The different drain cleaners usually say on the bottle whether they are safe to use near a septic system. My experience, though, is that they frequently don't do much good. Something that does work is plumbing snake. It's a cable on a reel that have a handle. As you turn the handle, the cable is forced through the pipe while rotating. I hold consistent good luck with this method if the clog is accessible. Anybody can use one of this things, and they are available at the home store or can be rented at a tool rental store. if Drano solves the problem i would particularly recommend putting ridex or something similar. to introduce bacteria back into your septic reservoir after the drano.
