I just bought a used Roper Elec. Dryer Model # REX3514Rq0. It come with a 4 prong plug. My house is an elder 1970s one with a 3 prong fixture and single strand alum. electrical system. Can I buy a 3 prong cord and use that on this dryer? Any safety concerns?

Answers:    For an existing 3 lead circuit you can buy and install a three wire cord. Make sure to install the bonding strap inside the dryer from the indistinct to the ground. This is an important sanctuary concern.
