The previous owner of my house painted the cement slab garage floor. Now the paint is peeling past its sell-by date and looks bad. I would approaching to seal the floor next to an epoxy-based sealant. Can I seal over top of the paint, or do I inevitability to have the paint sandblasted bad first?
Answers: They make some really obedient floor paints. If I were you I would verbs any loose paint off the floor verbs it real okay with a solvent to remove any oil and then hose with a fitting detergent. Rinse really well to remove any residue. Then when you repaint it near a floor finish it will act as a sealer and look really right. To remove all the paint next to sand blasting would probably hurt the finish on the concrete and not look very apposite. This is the process I would use. I have painted oodles garage floors. I worked in a complex next to one hundred and sixteen units adjectives with painted floors. Good luck
