I have a cute little counterfeit black "stove" that is really a Fan blown electric space kiln. It has 4 switches: Its 750 or 1500 Watts (2 switches). Plus the Fan switch and a switch that turns on a standard lamp that is suppose to trademark the fake fire look unadulterated. I love it as I have a tiny house and it's approaching my own little fireplace! It started to give sour a funny smell the other day, and closure...it fried I guess. The only switch that works is the light(FIRE) switch. Now, the electric fire parts never worked unless the blower(fan switch) was also "on". Now nearby is no fan and neither 750 or 1500 works. Can I pilfer the back stale and try to fix it? I know nothing more or less electric heaters, but have a few undeveloped repair skills. New they sell for around $180.00. I cant afford a new one. This one is give or take a few 18 months old. Thanks.
Answers:    Usually the problem will be the thermostat...the modern space heaters sold these days own thermostats that will not hold up...when they burn the contacts off they endow with off a enormously odd odor after nothing works anymore not even the frothy that shows it is turned on...if it is a thermostat it can be fixed for less than partially the price of a new one...i own fixed a few myself ....any good electrical repair shop should know how to fix this....
take a look see, and conceivably if the element is fried, you can contact the company and receive another.
