The chip is quite small but contained by a really obvious place. The oven door have two layers of chalice and the chip is on the inside layer facing the warmth source.
I remember reading a while ago that there is a DIY windscreen repair apparatus that can be used for repairing chips in pane glass etc - I mull over it was a type of gel that fill in the chips. Has anyone any experience of using this?
And would any repair be heat-resistant plenty to be safe?
Many thankfulness for your time
Answers: Hi,
I would not use any repair methods on this due to application
Its going to be cheaper and safer to repair and renew with untried parts
I think the cup will take the strain of the chip, as its designed for this, but cosmetically you will enjoy to get use to it or bring back your money spent
Try a search on google for cooker spares ?
Save your money. The chalice chip filling objects expands and contracts at a different rate than the glass and at the heat changes required by a food oven it would not later long. Get a replacement from an appliance repair parts store. Most of these places will take the time to explain the repair or possibly they have a repair guide for your stove written for the average homeowner. I'm surprised you have a chip though, most dignified temperature chalice is either temper or borosilicate and will break before chipping.
