Can I patch a dryer vent hose next to duct cartridge? A bird made a nest inside my dryer vent. I cleaned...

A bird made a nest inside my dryer vent. I cleaned the nest out, but the bird poked three holes in the vent hose, the biggest is around the size of a dime. The hose is the flexible metal kind.

I intend on completely remove the hose and replace it beside the solid metal piping, but I will not be able to do it for a few weeks. I would resembling to patch the holes by wrapping duct tapes around the hose as a temp fix (using indisputable duct tape, the foil sensitive.) I can reach the worn out area through a hole within the drywall.

I need to bathe clothes, so I need some class of fix.
Answers:    The foil tape should even come together code (here) since it isn't flammable. It is what is recommended.

It could be considered a permanent fix if you can achieve it to seal capably on that metal flex stuff .

We even use foil tape on furnace exhaust. But I can't be sure it is the exact same type you are using.

Good Luck
You can try it, but it might not hold. The same piece happened to us almost a week ago. Our handyman accidentally put a hole in the dryer hose while cleaning it out and he tried to patch it beside tape. Later that hours of darkness, I did a load of laundry and the entire laundry room nouns became extraordinarily humid and smelly, like a laundromat. I call him and he came put money on out the next year and just replaced the unharmed thing.
