I have a total of 4 toilets. Three are having issues, the 1st have over flowed in the middle of the night and have to shut the valve off. Then I turned it hindmost on the next day, in a minute its working fine. The 2nd has clogged and over flown. The 3rd is clogged. The 4th is newer (by the looks) and is working fine, not a problem so far. Are there any brass tacks i can do or any parts I can buy from home depot to fix these myself or do i need a proffesional?
oh yea, screw the plumber !! brand sure the fill valves are well-mannered,i use the fluidmasters, check the flappers and seals are good, and use a steel braided supply flash!! you can get these cheaply and they are easy to install !! upright luck Yes you can and its not that hard! Follow this link
From the sound of it, the problem is not the toilet parts. It sounds like you own a clog! If you have kids they maybe be putting too much thesis before flushing or toy may have be flushed. My kid flushed a toy in the toilet one time and it got trapped in the toilet trap (which is the U shape the holds the water even in the toilet), the toilet was clogging constantly took a while to amount it out but, I literally had to remove the toilet and had to use clothes hanger to work the toy out and ofcourse none of my 4 kids admitted to doing it but, for normal rag clogs, the only thing you should inevitability is a plunger or in worse cases a snake. toilets are an easy fix. Not much you necessitate to know with a toilet. You can change the inner container parts yourself. As for the clogs, do you have a toilet snake? If your toilet backs up into the tubs, later it's a clog in the main drain.

Answers: You should not need a plumber for clogged toilets. It sounds to me similar to all you toilets are those low-flow toilets. What you should do is just go and get a plunger for each bathroom and when someone puts too much tp in the toilet use the plunger. For step by step instructions on how to unlog a toilet (with photos) shift to this link: http://www.wikihow.com/Unclog-a-Toilet
If your toilets are not the low flow ones you may want to consider doing a toilet tune up, check this link for that. http://www.askthebuilder.com/artman212/p...
Also you may want to snake out your vent lines. You can usually get hold of to these from the roof. If you are getting a lot of clogged toilets the vent lines may be partially or completely clogged. BTW, clogged vent lines are uncommon so I doubt this is the issue.
The answer is yes and unforced. Buy 3- fluidmaster level control valve and 4 all-purpose floppers. Total : $40. Change the 3- problem toilets and replace the 4 floppers on ur toilets and u saved $160. bucks. Follow the instructions on adjusting the stratum of water shut-off and ur good. Good Luck. Seeing the the toilets are only clogged, you don't need to mess with anything on the cistern. Sounds like their may be some sort of clog in the largest line possibly affecting your drains as well.
there are foreign objects in the toilet bowls that will not jump down the drain. they are still there and the toilet that flushes now will overflow again. what are you dropping contained by the bowls?
Its not about new parts. if you find a plumber he may want to just pu tin new bowls and it will cost you.
Is that your situation?
you sure can
