i am wondering if it is possible to build a small house as cheap as 15000 if we did most of the physical work ourselves....

Answers:    I am building a house right now, the foundation alone is in the region of 15k, it's going to be 15k in materials of late to frame it, and I'm only doing a 1500 sf raise ranch.

You can release a TON of money by DIY, but you still need to salary for materials.

With my doing the contracting, and doing most of the work myself with friends and relatives, it's still costing us around 145k
