Can a hot hose down boiler...anomaly and blow up a house?

yes it can happen with any a gas or electric heater. that is why adjectives water heater must own a pressure relief valve. when the pressure or heat get to high the tap opens relieving the pressure. also if it is capped sour it will not work and you can blow also. The pressure release valve is there to save a water heater from doing so but if it doesn't work you are no better for have one. Large hotels have to be inspected regularly for such a problem. Nursing homes, schools and hospitals are supposed to hold inspections as well. MOST homes don't go through such inspections but if you are buying a home or appt. this should be one of the concerns that you hold. A plumber friend of mine had several weeks in a hospital because the nouns valve on his well reservoir didn't do what it was designed to do. Not the same piece but the same principal. Pressure builds to an extremely high point and the stopcock is supposed to release to let the pressure off. check out this verbs .

Sure. A malfunction of any gas appliance could wreak an explosion. I recall a hot water electric fire explosion in a house in my neighborhood. However, it wasn't due to a problem. Apparently, there were excessive vapors of some character in the bathroom where the hose heater was located. When the dampen heater flame kicked on, the vapors were ignite and caused an explosion and fire. Call the Gas Company.

Today is the first day of Summer, and for this reason the Gas Co. is running on "Extended Service", which means the field techs do more than verbs about people who do not hold heat.

If you have a hose heater problem, rather than red sticker your appliance for replacement, they'll try to fix it.
Yes! It is possible if it is a gas hot river heater! no there is a pressure spout that will release when it get almost to that point
anything can happen..the pressure valve can hiccup and not allow pressure to release...they have proven that a tank can explode but it act like a missile rather than a bomb..

Answers:    The new water heaters are hermetic on the botom so no vapors or a gas leak can get to the burner and ignite. The weak ones are open so vapors or a leak could ignite and turn your house into toothpicks. Its bloody but does happen. If your pressure relief valve does not work you may have a problem. My plumbing instructor told us a story of a guy who capped his PR spout cuz it was leaking. What a pin skipper. The pressure built up and sent his heater through the roof, no bull.
if its gas if it is gas yes
